Don't Prune Me

Don't prune me
I have no need of a gardener
To sculpture my leaves
And shape my branches
Into perfect form
They are already perfect
In their own way

I have no need of a gardener
To tend to my weeds
They will tend to themselves
In their own time

I have need only
For the company of those
Who recognize my own inner beauty
In its raw form
And let me bloom
In my own way
